U.S. Department of Agriculture (Homeland security) have been returning deer hide to México because of the presence of parasites (like ticks). Even if the hide has been treated and certified for ticks by the mexican Autorithies, parasites should be dead at the time you return to the U.S. Be sure to inspect your cape for parasites at the ranch, and clean it; treat it your parasites or freeze it at the ranch; when treated by the ANGADI and or Mexican oficials, heck for live parasites.
